Laura Sullivan, DMD

Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and Pediatric Dentist, Jacksonville, FL Area

Dr. Laura Sullivan was born and raised in Florida. Growing up she could always be found playing or coaching soccer. While playing soccer at the University of South Florida, she earned a BS degree in Biomedical Science, graduating magna cum laude. Dr. Laura attended dental school at the University of Florida, also graduating magna cum laude. After working in private practice for a year, she found her favorite part of dentistry was working with children. She then completed a pediatric dental residency at the University of Florida, where she served as Chief Resident.

During her specialty training Dr. Laura gained extensive experience in the prevention of dental disease in children and treating medically compromised and special needs children. Additional training included hospital dentistry, interceptive orthodontics, as well as nitrous oxide and oral conscious sedation. Shortly after finishing residency, Dr. Laura became board certified, earning Diplomate status by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and she was awarded the Richard C. Pugh Achievement Award for scoring in the top three percent in the nation on the written portion of the exam.

Dr. Laura is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Florida Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Florida Dental Association, and Jacksonville Dental Society. Dr. Laura lives in St. Johns County with her husband Dr. Obie Sullivan (of St. Johns Endodontics), son Tucker Jack, and two Australian shepherd dogs. She loves spending time with her family and friends at the beach, as well as playing soccer, fishing, surfing, and trying new food.
